Default kodiak 450

Is there any kodiak 450 owners that can give me some feedback on how they like their machine?Any problems with belts slipping?I am kinda stuck between a kodiak or a polaris sportsman 500. I really like the diff lock on the kodiak. When diff lock is engaged does it put all 4 wheels in diff lock or just the front?

the only problem i had with mine is the steering kept coming lose but that was easily fixed by replacing the stock nut with a castle nut and cotter pin.
yes dif lock drives all 4 wheels but it is limited to 22mph which is fast enough because it is very hard to steer with the dif locked.

I love mine it is the 04' kodiak 450 and I have had no complaints except for the handle bars when I jump it I pull on the handle bars and they seem to be getting loose. I took them off and wrapped electrical tape around them to see if that would help grip better. I will know this weekend. Other then that I love mine and would have not gotten anything else.

I love my 450 Kodiak, I beat the snot out of it! It goes anywhere and through just about anything, diff lock is great if you need it (haven't been in a situation where regular 4 wheel drive wasn't good enough) yes when diff lock is engaged you are limited to a certain speed but you can get an override for this (also overrides the limiter in reverse too).

Only problem I had with mine so far is it stalled on me a couple of times when I tried to put it in 4x4/diff lock, a couple other guys have had this problem too (check out the utility forum). Not yet sure why this is happening but don't let this change your mind on getting a 450 its a great wheeler!
