YFZ rev limiter problem solved......I think.
#1
Ever since I put on Curtis Sparks's full exhaust system on my yfz,I haven't been able to hold it past half throttle on top end,I thought it was the rev limiter. After posting my problem,Ridley said that there's no way it's hiting the rev limiter and he told me how I should set the carb. up to fix the problem and if that didn't work, call Sparks racing ,they'll know how to fix it.Well I did what Ridley told me to do,but it didn't work.(btw.....he was 100% right on the set up)So I got even more worried and called Sparks to see if they could help me find the problem. After telling them all the different set ups I've tryed, they said it had to be electrical.......that's funny ,because the rectifier(I think I'm spelling that right)went up on it the second day I had it!!!!I'll find out monday. I havn't taken it in to find out if it's electrical or not(I will after the race season)But I did change the stock needle to the one used in the yz450f.The c-clip is on the #5 spot, the main is 170 and the pilot is a 45.It's got miss in it now,I think I'm running too rich.Rev limiter problem hasn't changed any.

Amsoil,
Mine comes in earlier than before I put the sparks on, do you also have the cam mod?
