Has anybody heard any good info. on the new White Brothers R-Series pipe for the 400EX! How much do you gain from it and how much it costs?

I've got the e-series but wished I had gone with the dmc duel. Any mods I do to the engine may require better exhaust or more disks than what the "e" can provide. Mabey contact air in here or at trxoutlawz.com. When you see him beating up banshees and ds650's you'll be a little more interested in the dmc.

I've been looking at buying a silencer for my 400EX. What I'm looking for is something that sounds more agressive than stock, but not obnoxiously loud. I'm pretty sure I've settled on the E-series. I'm just worried that the disk-setup will sound strange, like a slight hiss because the exhaust is going through the slits in between the disks? Or maybe I'm not clear on how exactly the exhaust passes through the disks? My friend has heard disk-type mufflers on cars and says they sound like I described, so that's why I'm asking.

Oh, also, if money were no object, I'd just buy the full DMC dual system. However, since I don't want to spend $500, I've opted to go with just a slip-on silencer, and from what I've heard the E-series is the most popular, which is why I've kind of settled on it.

I have the d-series silencer so I can answer your question about the hissing sound. I can't hear any hissing at all coming from mine. With 12 discs it's a loud booming tone, with eight to six discs it's more of a popping sound.

I have the Graydon Proline Pipe on my 400EX, but my new TC Racing Pipe will be in today. I race in the GNCC series and the guy that won the GNCC stroke mod class last year ran TC's pipe and cam only. There are alot of TC racing engines and pipes in the GNCC and there are not many double barrel systems in the GNCC there are some but not many. Mike Penland the 9 time utility mod national champ and two time BAJA 1000 Champ is now running TC's stuff he is a friend of mine and he is quite impressed with the power it has. Call TC at 814-723-3514

Had a fmf megamax 2 slip-on and changed to the full system e-series....waaaaaaay better! The sound is deep and "throaty"...no hissing. With the header installed, it's all raw power! Use all 12 discs and rejet according to your needs.

I have the e-series and run 12 disks. I was at the sand dunes over the 3 day weekend with air, clutch, and gang. Air has a dmc and I think the e-series sounds simmilar. Both are loud and sound good. I don't think they are any where too loud though. I think the e along with rejetting and a k&n filter ads substantial power increase.
