Just Wonderin'...

With all the BS being said on this board lately. I was wondering if any of you guys really act like that or has anyone ever met someone who did?
Like when someone comes into one brands forum and starts off with "this brand is junk!"
I mean do you guys really do that in real life?
Or has anyone ever been say stuck in the mud and had someone drive up & say "You should've bought this brand." for example....
I ask because where I ride everyone seems pretty cool no matter what anybody rides. I see Polaris utes riding with Honda sport quads & Yamahas & Hondas together etc.
About the only guy I ever met with an attitude was a guy that just bought a brand new Banshee & thought he ruled the place. Even his friends were complaining about him later! Though I don't think the guy on the CR 250 or the ATC 250R felt to threatened by him
Anyway I was just wondering if some of you guys are really that big of an a$$hole in real life are you just pretend to be one on this forum.

I think that alot of people feel very comfortable hiding behind a computer typing and in real life they are just like the rest of us. I ride a banshee but as far as I am concerned anyone that rides is cool with me (whether it is a 50cc mini or a banshee or a 4x4) ATVers must stick together. And for anyone who really is a big enough a$$ to look down on others and their machices..GROW UP...

I ride with alot of people who have different brands of quads.I dont bad rap anyones ride.I my self have a Suzuki King Quad.I like it but am looking to maybe get a bigger one in a few years.I do think that the people who bad rap others on the computor probly wouldnt do it in person.I dont care who rides what or how much better thier quad is than mine.I think that all of us should stick together and fight for our rights to keep our land we ride on....BOB

I posted essentially the same thing several months ago. I don't see the point. Is there one? I only saw this kinda thing happen once. It was at a poker run and a drunk went home minus some Chicklets. I wonder why some people obsess over another person's preferences. If the supposed bad points of these mahcines were, in reality, so bad, then the sales would not be existent. Sometimes a person has to buy one brand over another simply because the way the dealer treats the customer after the sale makes it impossible for that person to return or others to be referred. There is some kind of feeling of: If you don't believe as I do or think like I do or do as I say, then you are an idiot. The tolerance for others is rapidly declining. No one can make a simple joke without it being taken personal and it seems like the remarks being made are gettting more insulting and without any content. In other "places" one brand owner will offer help to another brand owner without any desparaging remarks or insults. Encouraging other fourm members who are having problems is what I thougt the forum was mainly for. I think the people with the most to offer will leave and the only ones left will be the trouble makers. It has not come to that yet, but it looks more like it will. I don't understand why it is so difficult for people to ignore the negative posts. Everytime one pops up, there seems to be an abundance of people willing to jump in and proliferate the indults. If a negative post could be ignored, then the poster would have no choice but find something else to do. It takes two people to argue.

I couldnt have said it better! Good advice. Hopefully cool heads will prevail. I made the mistake before of being drawn into one of these situations, it doesnt do any good for anyone. It wont happen again to me.
There will always be a few guys out there that are sure they have the only REAL knowledge of anything. Because they believe they have been in worse places, seen more things, done things that no one else has ever done and encountered situations that nobody would ever believe.
We are all proud of our rides and it is natural to want to "brag" them up and thats fine. Everybody wants to feel like they made the right choice. Just think how boring it would be if every quad you saw was the same. Remember this one thing, they ALL break, they all get stuck and most of all they are ALL fun!!
Loosen up guys!!

I actually did have one guy do that to me in real life.
I am a mature person, I don't even do the bashine in the forums. One day i was loading up my Trail Blazer after a ride in a local pit. Two kids (about 15 or 16 years old) came walking buy. One goes "nice four wheeler". I say thanks thinking nothing of it. Then he says "not as nice as my Wolverine". (Which I will assume was daddies, and not really him, if he truely had one.) He said it quietly, as if not wanting me to fully hear what he said. I pointed out that i sure hope it was better, as he must have paid at least $2000 more for it then I did.
Other then that, never have I seen this in real life. I ride my Blazer with a 400EX, a Scrambler 500, and two Kawasaki dirtbikes on a regular basis. Never once have I seen any of us complain about the other rides in the group.
