How often does someone have to rebuild a four-stroke?

I ask since the new YFZ450R. How often do these high performance four-strokes have to be rebuilt?

depends what kind of riden doing
-usually about every 8 years I would put a new piston and rings

I did mine at 6. Even though I didnt have any smoking. Oh and remember to change your valve seals too. I am now doing it. (forgot b4)

Wow, that is great. How often does a two-stroke have to be rebuilt?

I'm surprised with that 450 engine, not bad at all.
