Bought an 01 breeze a few weeks ago. Gave it a full tune up and a really good once over. Has a Chinese replacement carb which works great and all else is stock. Went riding with the kids this past weekend and noticed a heavy smell and than small amount of smoke coming out of the top end tube that goes into the air box neck.
When we got home I checked the compression and it's about 90-100lbs. Should I just rebuild the top end? With new Piston?
I also have a 02 breeze with no real issues. Their built like tanks so I bought the 01. Paid $850 figured it was a great deal even if I have to put some $$ into it.
Are the top end kits from Numura good? Any advice for the rebuild,? Never took apart an Atv engine before but doesn't look to crazy. Thanks
