Default Sportsman 700 loosing power while riding

Hello,
Was up in park falls this weekend. My machine is a sp 700 03. While on a flat grade, riding at a steady speed, when I went to increase speed, my machine bogged down. It felt like it was out of gas. I let up on the throttle for a second, and had full power again. This happened about 6 times. The speed did not seem to matter, it happened at 20-40 mph. The underlying factor was that I was holding the speed steady on a flat grade, and only when I went to accelerate, my machine bogged down, until I let up on the throttle. I cannot reproduce this, it happened randomly Put on about 300 miles, did not happen on rough grade.
Spoke to the dealer, they said unless it can be reproduced, there is little they can do about it. I talked to another sportsman owner at a bar, and he experienced similar episodes, he chalked it up as normal. In my opinion this is not normal. My 00 sp500 never did this.
Any help would be appreciated.

ps full tank of gas, air filter clean.

Check under the seat and see if the carb. vent line has a filter on it. The line is a clear plastic line about 3/8 diameter. The filter is small and white with a red end opposite the carb. This is the same filter as the fuel filter.
If it doesn't have one go to the Polaris dealer and get one. Mine was a $3.00 item.
Without one the line WILL occasionally suck some air and debris into the carb. Plus the end of the line can become blocked by the foam insert under the seat which can also cause what you are describing.

im not sure if its the same for a 4 stroke as it is with a 2 stroke but my 250 tb was doing the exact same thing and all i had to do was clean out the carb.
