Default Prairie 700 milage & How fast will it go?

Hey guys, thinking of getting a 700 prairie 4x4. Can anyone tell me what kind of gas milage they get? I do alot of trail riding with gas stations about 60-70 miles apart. What's the top speed? Is the 700 faster than a Polaris Scrambler 500?? Thanks for your help. Ride fast!

I'm not sure about the Prairie 700, but I do know that you can go 60 miles easy with a Prairie 650. I'm not sure about 70 miles on one tank, but it would be awfully close. I always carry a 1 gallon jug just in case. When the Prairie only has a few miles on it, the gas milage is awefull, but once I got more miles on her, it got better and better. Now I get 60 miles easy.

As for the top speed of the 700, I've heard from 65 to 70 mph, but I would say that between 65-67 is a safe bet. Not sure how fast the Scrambler gets.

My V-Force is a fuel pig, about 10 MPG. Not sure what the P-700 gets. My P-650 would get 15MPG usually.

I usually measure my milage in terms of hours since the mlage depends on the type of riding but I generally get in the neighborhood of 6 hours of ride time crusing moderate trails which probally equates to 50-60 miles but some of the hard core stuff mud & water drop that to 3 hours and about 30 miles since i'm on the throttle allot harder. I always carry extra gas just in case as you never know what will happen or what the condistions will be.

IM pretty sure the P700 will be faster than the scrambler 500. I have out ran two of them with my P650.

I think that it would be safe to assume that the P-700 should get 50-65 miles to the tank, depending on conditions and "patterns of application of throttle".

My 700 is stock except for holeshot ATR's, and I have seen 67 mph on the speedo, first tank 38 miles reserve bar started blinking, second tank about 45 miles before bar blinked, last tank about 50 miles with the reserve bar blinking.......I think 60 miles to a tank will be about the best it will do..........

Stakk-- How do you like the P-700 by now. Much difference from the old 650? Those ATR's kick butt, don't they!
