I recently picked up a '94 Yamaha Kodiak. I want to change the fliuds but it came without a manual.

It looks like there is a filter cover on the left hand side by there shifter and an oil fill/drain plug.

Is this correct?

Is the engine oil and trans oil combined or do they have to be drained and filled separately? If so 10w-30 oil? Can I use synthetic oil?

What type oil does the rear axle take?

Any other advice or anything I should know?
