why do you want to cut it shorter? i've cut a foot or so off mine but it was because i was in a hurry and wrapped it wrong.

You can also add a vent to your cap or get a vented gas cap. This is especially usefull when you get a carb with more flow as that tube can not keep up with the negative pressure in the tank. When I got my vented cap, I just pinched the stock tube closed with a zip tie and cut off all the excess. It sure makes it easier to work on too!

Yeah scrap the tube and get a vented gas cap, preferably the billet kind.

Who's got the best deal on a vented cap? I'm in need of one. I've got mine cobbled for now, just so it runs... Where does the vent hose run to? I havent looked yet, I'm sure I could find it but.... You guys help tremendously! Thanks in advance.
