Default Saw a guy take a digger on a Warrior today.....oops

We were following a group of riders today (Gold Bar) as we were heading back to the truck (we had seen them all day and parked next to them). Two bikes and a Warrior. I think the bikes were having an easier time with the speed than the warrior rider was. Anyhow, in the lower staging area coming off the main trail there is a set of whoops (50 yards long) that welcomes you back to the parking lot. The whoops consist of large round rocks ranging in size from 1" to softball size, and a couple 'basketball and boulder size'. All I saw was the warrior coming to a rest and a fella laying down (100 feet behind his bike). He started on the whoops and said he came down hard on the front as his left tire hit one of the 'basketballs'. He went head and left shoulder into the 'softballs' on the side of the path. Everything was workin properly and he told me what day it was and so on. He got to his knees and grunted for a while, then layed down, and exposed the left side hip. (huge rasberry) I looked at his helmet,,,and he would have definetly died had he not had his helmet on. (huge scratches from the tip of the head all the way to the chin). Im sure he will be sore for weeks,,,,but at least he is alive.

This all happened at the end of the day and Im sure he was loosened up by the time he crashed. (which surely helped save him). This could have just as easily (and usually when it happens) been when he 1st arrived and started the bike (wearing no helmet) and took it for a quick test (after not riding for 2-12 months).

Everyone, please wear safety gear at all times.

All the fun were having just aint worth getting hurt over!

This post reminds me once again about how thankful I am to be rid of my warrior... its amazing how dangerous it felt compared to my YFZ.
