Z400 riders-happy with it?

I took my z out today for spin before work, what a blast. I know the new YFZ and TRX450 are probably faster, but I dont care, I ride trails and the woods and this machine hauls (compared to the warrior) I did some jumps, wide open spaces, tight stuff between the trees, I love this thing. Suspension is plush, got plenty of gitty-up.
Sure there are quads that are faster, but I'm happy with my purchase, glad I did it...how 'bout you guys?

I feel the same as you, I of course know the new 450's will blow our doors but I probably won't be in any major championship races and I do fine on the track we've made here. Like you said just for trails and stuff you can't beat the z for convenience and comfort. Also like you said it's a nice step-up to what you had before if you didn't already have a really fast quad. I had a bigger step than you, all I had was a four wheel drive rancher and boy could I feel the difference. If you don't have to have the absolute fastest quad out there then the z is a great choice. If you do get the yfz or banshee. Glad you like yours.

I know i could have bought the faster yfz but i am very happy with my LTZ. i mostly ride the trails and for this i don't think there is a better bike. good handling, plenty of power and reverse.

i really love my z it is a great machine (besides my frame cracking and having to be welded up around the front shock mounts). it is a blast on trails. however in a 300ft drag race between my brother with his yfz it is like 2 to 4 quad lengths ahead. overall i am very happy with my z.

I like mine alot, I still think it is the best all around trail quad. Having reverse is huge in the woods. I do most of my riding in tight woods 2-4 gear. This is the by far the best sport quad I have owned.

I like everything about mine exept i think it could use a little more power/acceleration. The top speed is fine, it just doesn't have the 3rd gear and up power I am looking for. I may fix this by gearing down or opening up my intake/exaust a little bit to. other than that its a great machine so far.

I absolutely love my Z, it has everything I need including a reasonable price tag. I have no malor complaints about my Z. People constantly talk about the yfz having better handling, but I have a friend who rides a stock warrior, and he has no problems staying right behind me in the tight twist and turn trails cause he knows how to ride his warrior. My point is, if you know how your quad reacts you can compensate, if your a good rider, then suspension is only a minor equasion. Big grandma style cop cars still catch Corvettes don't they?

It is an awesome machine. I learned to wheelie on it, really easy! I'm not good with a clutch, though, and it's got just a little too much power for me. My dad rides it most of the time. A z250 would be perfect for me.
