for all the older guys, me and my uncle and my cousin and my freind were discusing about how when we were kids when there was only atcs with 125cc engines and then it was great and everybody wanted one, and then when a 250cc engine came out it was like unreal to us, and then it was the 350cc and that was like unimaginable, and we think nothin better is going to come. and now they have 660cc engines, and 700cc engines, its amazing how they have improved over the years isnt it?

 

It truely is. Im only 20 but I remember 3 or 4 years ago when I though a 500 was big.

 

Heck yeah! The displacement war is on-going. By the time Im an older guy the 500 and 600cc engines will be minute!

 

not so fast guys! theyve been racing 125 + 250cc dirtbikes for decades. This seems to be the ccs that work in racing at least.

 

I remember when dirtbikes ruled the woods by themselves.

they wont get much further then 700, i can tell you that right now. the biggest displacement in an engine i believe stock was around 1300, I THINK

 

There will be 800's out soon and 1000's before 5 years. Think of the new configurations they are coming out with constantly. Rangers and ATP's are starting a new line of workhorses that will require power. Everyone has already stepped up to the plate with a 700. Bigger, more versitile machines are right around the corner for plowing and hauling.

 

I can see an ATP workhourse type machine with a 1000cc engine in it that doubles as a generator with outlets on the quad in the near future.
