Default Baja X Troubles

Ok, here we go. First of all let me say I love this machine. It's got the best suspension, power, stability of any quad I ever rode (including the YFZ). However, this thing is driving me nuts!! First off the oil pressure switch goes bad. I just about panicked until I found out it is a common problem. No big deal. But then my fan has not been coming on. The trouble is, I didn't know it because of the oil pressure light. So I have been driving around with my bike possibly overheated. LuckilyI haven't ridden very far, but the other night it was WAY hot. So I figured out it was the sending unit today, now I have to get one of them. Has anyone every done any overheat related damage?

So I figure I might have this under control. Well while I'm worning on the machine today I see that my crankcase vent tube has melted against the muffler. The zip tie that holds it to the engine mount was in fine shape, IT JUST WASN"T AROUND THE TUBE!!!! So my bike has been sucking in dirt for I don't know how long!! I changed the oil and will probably have to again right away so that I know it's clean in there.

I really like the machine, but I don't want it to drive me nuts. I just got rid of a perfectly good V-Force that all I ever did was ride. I guess I'm just venting.

Thats a bummer man, and I know how FRUSTRATING littl crap like this can be, especailly when its severy little things. The good news is the crank case tube doesnt "suck" so thier should be no dirt in your motor, but it a good idea to go ahead and change it. Second. its still under warranty? If so take it to your dealer, and tell him to FIX the FAN and other stuff thats wrong with it. These things are supposed to be given a "proper" run through by the dealer before they sell it. Thats what the "shipping, and prep" charge is for.

Good luck, and do a thorough check of everything, once a month!

Bigger.

Yeah, I try to use all that suspension.

It's still under warranty, but everything did work fine when I got it. Plus the dealer is literally one of my best friends. He sold it to me for his cost and I coudn't possibly be harsh. It would be leke getting mad at your brother for selling you a perfectly good quad. It's just one of those things and once I sort it out, I'm sure it will be fine. Either that or PLEASE Bombardier MAKE AN 850!!!

You can always sell it (for more) and get another. Welcome to the family

Wether the dealer is your best friend or not these are known problems and if its under warrantee get it repaired under warantee...its not gonna cost your buddy nothing nor should it **** him off.

Yeah the 720 is sounding pretty good. What's all involved with that kit? Just bore or do you change the crank also? Is there a websight with whoever makes it?
