Default Oil injection pump removal...

All, I am trying to remove my son's oil injection system from his Predator 90. I am having the hradest time removing the center bolt on the Stator (Crank keeps on spinning). Is the a special tool i can use or will air tools work? Also, once I get it removed Is there a block off plate I can get? Patiently waiting with a have disassembled bike. Thanks.

Remove the nut with air! Counter clockwise!!!!

Instead of paying big $$ for a special block off plate, simply install a brass freeze plug from any auto parts house.

In most cases, you will not need to remove the flywheel to remove the pump. You may need to lift the cylinder slightly though.

Good luck.

this topic has been discussed several times. just use the search function.

As for a block off plate, use a simple automotive brass freeze plug. It is cheaper and works just fine. On my race machines, I leave it wide open and eliminate the gasket on the stator plate.

For those of you who want to see the size and thin gears of the Pred-90's Plastic Oil Injection pump wheel, surf photos within .Press Here.

Note: The White Wheel is from an '03 Pred-90. I'm sure other brand of "white wheels" are the same.

If wondering, we obtained our "new" single gas line cable from Billy Holt @ WRH Racing. This cable is an excellent chrome wire mesh cable that bolts right on. It's inner wire and outer casing is thicker then factory. I'd recommend this cable to others...

Hope this helps others.... .

What does removing the gasket allow? I am very interested in doing this, Whats the pros/cons. I like the idea of completly removing everything just unsure what route to take. What size freeze plug fits the opening?
