hi yall.
i got my ac500i manual last dec 28th and i've got as of today 1300 miles on it and i was wondering if anyone else has put this many miles or klicks on there quad in the last 9 months.
the reason im asking is a freind of mine was looking at my cat in the back of my truck last week and he said it looked bagged.
i said its not bagged its well used.
my freind said he armoralls his quad after every ride.lol.
so when i got it home i thought i would try and clean it up and see how it looked then.
well i think it came out pretty good.
the motor was the hardest to clean.
pressure washing dident get all the clay and mud off just the heavy stuff so i tryed some of that castrol degreaser/cleaner in a bottle mixed with water and i sprayed it on and scrubed it with a toothbrush and hosed it off right away so it wouldent hert nothing.that stuff works great.
anyways the end result is what you see in my picks.

and how many miles you've put on it since you've got it.
i would like to know if most people are like me and ride every chance you get.

I bought My 500i manual on July 10 2003. Currently it has 440 miles on it(would probably have 2 or 3 hundred more but my brother dislocated his shoulder and had to get surgery on it so we havent been able to ride for over a month and it isnt as fun by myself) An it looks just as good as the day i rolled out of the cat factory. of course i washed and waxed it 3 times in the first week i had it. Now i wash it once a week whether i ride it a lot or not. Im just picky i guess.

 

I took mine up to the gun club to do some deer stand placement /scouting ,some of the other members
had there quads there ,they had never seen a Arctic Cat quad so they came over ,the first question was how old is it.
The question came up because of all the mud still on it ,My quad is 4 month's old with 138 miles ,All there quads
were clean with armorall on the tires ,To clean for me ,I bought my quad to have some fun ,I look for the muddiest hole
I can find ,the more mud the better . Even my 3 year old likes going through the mud with me .The apple don't fall far .

 

O ya, I gave her a bath and she still looks good

 

I bought mine in March of 2002,it has over 2000 mioles on it.When I clean it up it looks great.I just put Mud Bugs on it so it will be muddy all the time now.
