plastic polish? grease/dirt cleaner?
#1
Is there an alternative to Plasic Renew? I tried it but its a pain in the neck and it peels off. I was thinking about maybe using a rotating polisher with polishing paste or something? Anyone ever tried anything like this?
Also, what is a good cleaner for grease and dirt buildup on my 250x? Whats good to use that you spray on the engine/frame and rinse it off, instead of scrubbing the grease and grime off?
thanks

I use brake cleaner to clean any grease or petroleum based products. It dissolves the grease very quick and makes everything nice and clean. Engine degreaser works alright sometimes but I don't like to use it on aluminum.
I was curious about buffing out the plastics with a rubbing compound as well. I have never tried it but my buddy buffs out the fogged and yellowed plastic headlights of older cars and they turn out like new. I bet it would work the same but I'm not positive.
