Does anyone know where i can get a good bead breaking tool? I been bustin my a$# trying to get these tires loose!!

 

I feel your pain! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I wussed out and just took them to the shop near me and just asked them to bust the bead, I'd handle the rest. They didn't charge me. The shop near you may, but it shouldn't be much since all that they have to do is bust the bead. I think that bead breakers I've seen go for like 60-100 bucks. I'd rather pay someone 10-15 bucks to seperate the bead and I can do the rest myself. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

you can break the bead yourself with a pickup. here is what i did,

remove the shraeder valve
take a thick uhaul blanket and laid it down on my driveway (so you dont scrape up the rim) put the rim/tire on top
drove my truck slowly over the tire, getting as close to the bead as possible
it will pop off after a few good passes

take a spray bottle and add a little dish soap and fill the rest with water. it will help with lubricating the tires for easier dis/mounting
