Honda Rincon Owners
#1
Hello everyone,
I have a question in regards to the Honda Rincon. I never rode this machine before so I'm asking you guys. Is there a way to disable the rev limiter in reverse? If so, is there a special kit or some sort of override button? I think this would be important, especially if you get stuck in the mud. Also, please list your like and dislikes about this machine. This will help me determine if I should buy one.
Thank you for your help,

Haven't seen or heard of an over-ride for reverse but it would be nice. I love mine though. Good power, decent ride, handles great. The suspension is tuned for a sporty ride and is a little stiffer than other bikes but it makes up for it in handling.

Some people fabricate their own reverse limiter override.
The Rincons suspension isn't stiffer, it's actually very plush and soft. Polaris Sportsmans are VERY stiff, 200lbs barely moves the rear shocks down an inch. I haven't ever experienced Grizzly suspension though. But, IMO i think the Rinnys suspension is very soft. It has great power for fast trail riding. It holds it's own share of towing capability also. I have pulled some very heavy things (1000+lbs) with no problem. You really should ride one and see what you think.

Rode a sp700 last winter. I thought the suspension was softer. The rear was softer than my rinny and I bottomed the front out 7 or 8 times in about 10 to 12 miles. On that same ride mine would not bottom out at all. But I liked the feeling of mine much more than the sp700.
