Above is a link to pictures of the plow I built. It is mounted on a 98 Sportsman 500. I don't plan on pushing any dirt or rock, just snow in my driveway and sidewalk. I have about $285 outlay for it plus a few pieces of metal I had around. I am going to have to add spacers to the front springs.

Yes it does angle both left and right. For now I will use the switch that came with it (spent 2 weekends at flea markets selling extra junk from my garage to pay for it all). I pushed some small size river rock I have for landscaping and it worked on that (my wife said not to do it again LOL). It took about a week of evenings to build. It was so fun it is somewhat of a let down now that it is done. It takes about 2 min to unhook or hook up. Funny, but I can't wait for it to snow.

my buddy has a home made plow and it has channel that slips over the 1x1 under the foot pegs and bolts on the front below the rad and it uses a air plane actuator off flap or rudder basicly it is a screw jack with the motor attached to it it works great it will pick his explorer front wheels off the ground i wish i could find one cheap i think he said it came off a dash 8 airplane
