2002 Yamaha Blaster, rear disc brake (cable)
#1
Has anyone had there rear disc brake (cable controlled) on a 2002 Blaster
lock up on them? Over the weekend I had to take the rear brake caliper off so it was still ride able, I didn't want to take part the caliper part out in the middle of the desert so I just removed the caliper from the disc. I loosenedup the adjusting on the cable and did not work. I checked parking brake and it was not engaged.Any ideas how to unlock the caliper?

Ah..them blaster brakes do tend to lock over time...heat is usually the cause. The only way I know of releasing the caliper is to take it apart clean it and put it back together.
