Resale value

I have had my 03' 500i in the paper for 2 weeks and the best offer I have got on it is $3,500. Several people have told me that they can't find many dealers to service it or they don't know the name very well. Others told me they can't find any info on line about them except for the dealer sights. When this one is sold I will be done with Arctic Cat. My 2 previous Honda's sold the first weekend they were in the paper.

Were your Hondas a year old? Its always harder to get your money out of a 1 year old machine - compared to new.
Yes - Arctic cat has fewer dealers and is the latecomer to the ATV market. I believe cats appeal more to the mature buyers who are looking for reliability and performance in a technical use or work arena and likely don't appeal to those drooling over go-fast kiddy quads. You could compare AC to Polaris but AC doesn't have the years of history with hubs not locking into 4x4 or smoking belts when gone deep in the muck. And that fun rear axle poping out the gearcase is a real hoot when your 3 feet deep into the snow pack. I have nothing bad to say about Honda - unless your uncomfortable with being in the back of the pack on technical rides. I guess the one new Honda has improved in that area but unless your getting into a $8 grand machine not much has been changed. I own all three - AC Polaris and Honda. On any given day I choose the AC. After riding mountains, forests, swamps and sand.
Patience is a virtue - Trust in Ebay - Your mileage may very.
