Default what is the best way to move the needle clips

What is the best way to move the clip on the needle from one groove to the other. The clips are tight in the groove and I dont want to bend the clips when moving them to another groove. Thanks.

Find a small flat-head screwdriver and you can flip them right out. Make sure and align the both sides of the clip in the appropriate notch before pressing it in. Later.

That is what I will do. I have a stumble when I am holding a steady speed at 1/4 throttle. Currently I am on the 3rd groove from the top on the GYTR needles. Does this stumble mean I am lean or rich at this rpm? I went down to 160/165 mains and it runs alot better, I just can't seem to get rid of the stumble. I am running 27.5 pilots 2 & 2-1/2 turns out. Off idle throttle response is great, very snappy. Any help will be appreciated.

Use a needle nose pliers so you dont lose them. do you have any motor mods because i have 25 pillots with mods and mine runs great. try screwing the air gas screws in.

Is the lid on or off? Whats the plug look like after cruising a while at 1/4 throttle?

The lid is cut to where almost the whole filter is exposed. I have not checked the plug at 1/4 throttle, but I do know that after it has been idling for a while the plug is pretty black. I might try 25 pilots. I just have not figured out if it is the needle or the pilot.

I have ran 27.5 pilots in my Raptor for several years with no problems. Your problem is definately the needles.....what have you changed for this problem too occur? When I removed my airbox lid I had too lean my needles 1 notch too get rid of a 1/4 throttle stumble....removal of the lid creates low rpm turbulence which requires leaning the needles.

Well here is the story, last February I had a buddy who has a 727 raptor put my sparks x-6 pipe on and do the jetting. We ended up at 170/175 and we were using dynojet needles. I ran a stock raptor and did not beat him as bad as I thought I should. So now that I know how to go about jetting, I took it upon myself to start over. I am at 160/165 mains (plug chop looks fine), I replaced the dynojet needles with the GYTR'S. The only other thing I did was lean my pilot screws a turn and I am now at 2 and 2-1/2 turns out with the 27.5's. It is possible that we had the dyno needles a little leaner than I am with the GYTR's being on the 3rd groove from the top. I have not compared our previous dynojet needle settings to where I am at now on the GYTR's. So if I go up one clip on the needles I will only be on the second groove from the top. I guess I will try that first. I have also checked the floats with a clear tube, they are just a tad above where the bottom/top of the bowls meet. I have no problems when I ride wheelies with it cutting out, so I have ruled out the floats. Thanks for the replies guys. Gary please reply and give me the ok on the clip being on the second groove from the top. Thanks.
