polaris maintnence
#1
Hi I was wondering if this sounds correct. It may be bang on or even a deal, I dont know and wanted some feed back on the issue.I briught my trail boss to my polaris dealer for a new chain, oil change and trans fluid drain and refill. They placed new brake pads on it without first asking me. That is not such a big deal IF it needed it. My question is the price of all this. New chain standard polaris trail boss chain, oil, filter, trans fluid, ( brake pads not asked for) and labor of course. The total was $346 Canadian or $260. U.S . Again I dont know , is this around what I should be paying.? The only thing that made me question this issue was the brake pad replacement if they were looking out for me and therefor proceeded without asking Me OK. But the fact that they would do that made me wonder about everything else.
Ps the spell check is not working again.

Tell them you will pay for the pads if you look at them and OK that they needed it. If they say they threw them away tell them you wont pay for them. Any additional repairs must ALWAYS be pre-approved first. Some people are on a budget and cant afford $30-$50 more.

sadly enuff that sounds right... they screw people on oil changes and stuff... try to do em yourself..
pads were probably 30$ for front and 30$ for rear... chain was prolly 50-75. labor for all that... 50$ an hour?
probably took em 2-3 hours.
