Thanks Bubba,Do you do the same on the back? Also what have you done if any to the front and rear clutches.I'm trying to set this up for my daughter to run dirt drags.I need to get this thing to stahl a little more and engage sooner on the big end. Thanks for the quick response!

If you dont have any port work done to the motor, then dont modify the front clutch, it will slow the bike down quite a bit. I have mildly ported my daughters and machined the head .020 and I only have 2 of the front rollers slightly lightened. The big key is the secondary clutch. Take it apart and lighten the rear shoes. The outside nut will let the clutch come off. When you take the actual secondary apart the big thin nut is left handed. Take the shoes off, cut the end off behind where the slot is for them to fit onto the studs sticking up on the clutch then cut a little at a time until the desired weight is achieved. You will need a gram scale too. You can get a digital cheap one at Staples or similar. If she is drag racing, I wouldnt go under 165 grams. That will bring the stall up quite a bit but when it engages it will still accelerate the same. The quad will move out A LOT BETTER. Little things like shaving the head, putting good reeds in it, and a good air filter will make differences. You can also open up the reedcage a little bit and blend it in for more flow. My daughter's bike runs at factory RPMs and will outrun a stock quad by a full second in 300ft dirt, and she weighs 110lbs. Hope this helps. PM me if you would like more specific specs. Bubba
