What would you do if the battery goes dead on the Rincon and you were many miles out? I couldn't find an aux. starter on my Rincon. This just hit me today. What do you guys think?

There's a pull cord on the right side of the bike under the red (if your bikes red) cover. Pull the seat off and then pull the top cover off. You'll see it.

It's a Honda....it will never break down ...seriously if you ever need to use the pull starter be prepared to put some muscle into it because that big engine is a bear to turn over.

Thanks for the info. I think I should read my manual!

More than likely it has automatic decompression too. My 450 does and its a breeze to pull over if you have to. Check your manual though, because if you have to operate a decompression switch, you'll want to find it before you ever have to use it!!!

Pull the cord out about 8-10 inches before you try to start it and that will activate the compression release.

I have tried the pull starter and it's kinda hard to pull. That's a pretty big piston in there! lol

I tried mine again yesterday after making the post above just to make sure. If you only pull it out a little bit, it is very hard to pull and start but if you pull it on out, you will feel it sort of disengage and then it is an easy pull. If you are just practiving, make sure you have warmed it up some and it should bust right off. If it hasn't been started, I would prime it a couple of pumps.
