Anyone running the new quiet cap on your oval GYT exhaust? It's supposed to be available for the Raptor and YFZ450 and take it below 96db. Does it do it? Does it sound decent with it? What happened to you powerband up high and down low?

Ive got the quiet cap and can tell you it does quiet it down however I don't have any ride time to
really give you an adequate synopsis.. just basicaly started it and ran it around the house..

It is not cheap.. but I do think it will quiet it down some.

 

What is the tone like? I have the quiet core for a T4 and it makes it sound like a model airplane. I also have the hmf core and it gives a nice deep tone. I really want a GYT exhaust but cant be loud and still want it to sound authoritive.

 

I thought it sound just like the original system but a few decibles quieter.. again, I've only got limited time on it .. so thats all I can offer.

 

Ok, Any new info on the sound of the quiet cap verses the regular cap? How about power changes?
