How do you people create your own tracks and trails? I mean, to get it to dirt. do you take a shovel and dig out all the grass, take a metal rake and grind away at the ground so that it turns to dirt, or what? On my trail, I just rode over the same path over and over, but is there any other way that people make trails?

I can also make a track now in a feild I own, so what are some things and obstacles you put in tracks? I was going to make some things like dips and ditches, tabletops and jumps, a big straightaway, then some rough spots with crappy rough bumps, plus maybe dig out a ditch and throw a bunch of large logs and stuff in there to make it hard to go through. Sound good?

I was wondering about going somewhere where a house is being built and asking if they will give it away. I know someone who was PAID to take dirt! So, they should usually be willing to atleast give it away, possibly delivering it to the actual field I will use it on. Do you know how well it would work to lay out the track by simply putting the dirt over the grass and riding over it? This way, it would slightly rise above the ground. With all that dirt, I could get a bunch of friends, shovels, and wheelborrows, then make some pretty good tabletops, whoops, and maybe some banked turns with a hairpin.

Whatchya think? Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for reading this.

All the advice I can give you is...About a trillion and a half Shovel Loads will get you a good size tabletop!!I have a track on some trails behind my house, on 20 acres. I have about 6 doubles and a good size tabletop all made by shovel, I started it when I was in 7th grade, I am in 10th grade right now and I am finally done. I am making a 6 foot high tabletop and 30 feet long, I am ordering 3 15 YARD piles for it!! It would take you at least a year to do that with shovels. Just keep it up and when you have made a good jump, you will be pretty happy!!

87 250r, all aftermarket parts!

All the trails around here are made by just driving over where you want it to be. And just ride it for a few days or until its all dirt.

yeah, someone by my house made a nice track, it has alot of jumps, tabletop, etc. but, ya know what the key is? the word is "backhoe" i know not everyone has a bakchoe parked in their driveway. but maybe if they are a few people making this track, maybe someone knows someone with one, or you can always rent one. it will save you a hell of alot of labor. and you will have big enough jumps and tabletops to soar off. good luck
