Supertrapp IDS2 , Excessive Heat ???

Does the IDS2 typically run very HOT ? I dont have anything fancy happening here ,, just a stock TRX450ES and a IDS2 running with 8 discs ... Maybe I'm just paranoid ?

yes the pipe it self gets very [red]HOT[/red].

Yes, it will get hot enough to melt the rubber mounting washers. It may even melt the fender if you are not careful. Put some metallic tape on the fender as a precaution.
