What time of year is a good time to buy a new Honda Sport model. You go in there now and they just show you the MSRP sticker and walk away. I want a time when they are staving for a sale and will jump though hoops to get a sale.

If you want the new Honda 450 sport quad you better stand in line to pay FULL STICKER. They'll tell you to go pound sand because people have been waiting two years for this baby to hit the dealers. Now if you want a 400 EX, you can steal them now. Most places are $4600 OTD, you'll pay 6499 for the new one, plus tax, registration, etc.
Also, in So Cal, this is dune time, the deserts are cool and full of quads. If you want a sport quad the market is hot for them. If you want to buy used, then you might get a deal. Sorry..

I worked at a Kawa-Suki dealer in the '70's. A month after the new models came out they
were pushing the salesmen to move the last years models, pushing hard. They needed the
space. I saw some real deals go out the door, even though this dealer was a total thief.
(He tagged on $500 in hidden charges to every sale)

I bought a 03 Rancher TM in early Nov for $3350 ($3790 OTD). List in Sept. was $4399.

Only problem here is they won't have every model leftover. The hottest sellers will
all be gone. So if you want a specific model you may not be able to get it. It just so
happened the Rancher TM was what I wanted.

If you are wanting the current model year, go in Feb. Most dealers are dead in Feb.
and they will be hurting for sales. Don't let the salesman push you around. He needs
you business bad in Feb. Work at getting the best price, and don't be afraid to leave
if he won't deal with you. Act uninterested even if you are foaming at the mouth.
Compare prices at different dealers and get them in writing. Require any dealer to BEAT
a competitiors price, not just meet it.
