Default GOIN TO THE DUNES...need HELP

over spring break my dad and i are going to some sand dunes in arizona. we have only had the quads for a couple of months and only ridden on forest trails. i know we need to rejet for the altitude and temperature changes, but what is the best way to do that...dial-a-jet or new jet??? also, we need to know what kinds of spare parts should we buy and take with us? what is most prone to breaking that we might need to replace...what tools? also, what is the best performance intake for the V-FORCE? lastly, does anyone know of any way to temporarily repair the plastics on my quad? i have a partial break on the rear fender and i dont want it to spread but i also dont want to replace it yet?

thanks everyone in advance

sorry if my questions are lame

If it's a crack, I'd guess you can stop it by drilling a hole at the end of the crack.

Go to Wal-Mart or an auto store and get Plastic repair glue. It is like 3 bux. Take the tools you would need if anything broke down. Sockets, Wrenches....ect. Buy a jet kit for both of your bikes and it will have the info in it to tune for alt.

Great advice, but don't buy a jet kit, just buy some new jets. Its alot cheaper and you wont have a bunch of jets you will never use. Find out what the stock jets are, and buy some a little larger.
You can drill small holes on each side of the crack and put zip ties in it, put one pas tthe crack, it looks Frankenstein, but it works.
Have fun, be prepared to go back!

The zip ties work great I've seen it on older three wheelers before. As for spare parts bring the tools and you should be alright, and for the jets talk to somone in the dune machine forum and you should be able too find some one who knows exaclty what jets to run for that area. Good Luck
