Wolverine Tie Rod Adjustment
#2
Never had to adjust mine. I think I saw a post on here about how to adjust them. Look back about a week or 2 about not tracking straight??? Wasn't very far back. How did everything else turn out?

Well...Everything is back together, and running well. My wheels are bent to hell, and if you turn the front wheels left or right to lock, the front wheels scrape against the upper "A" arm. I am going to replace the wheels, but I figured that if I adjust the tie rods out a little, this would help alleviate the scraping. Maybe I am on the wrong track here, but I don't see any other way to fix it. I think the "Clunking" that I am getting from the front end is coming from the front U joint, where it meets the differential. I also have a small tear in the left outboard CV boot, but the cv joint looks good. I will probably have to replace the outboard boots soon anyway!

Do what I have done before... I bent a rear wheel so bad it was rubbing the brake caliper...so I took a sledge hammer and beat the **** out of it till it didn't rub. Probably not the best fix but it was the quickest and cheapest. Remember what I told ya on those U-joints...Try to match them up at an auto parts store before shelling out the big bucks for a factory or even an after market piece. I think the one I got was for a PTO shaft for a Mack garbage truck! If ya don't have any luck finding one...Let me know and I can get you a maker and number of the joint I use. I may even have an extra one laying around. The ones I bought were $17 +tax...had a grease fitting so ya can shoot a little to them every now and then. If that tear in your boot is bad I'd get it fixed quick before the mud and water screw it up. If its small enough ya might just try to seal it with some silicone sealer till you have to replace it.
PS when ya match the u-joints up watch which side the retaining clips are on...the ones we use are on the inside.
