Default Should dealer replace sensor(s) if still under warranty?

I washed my 03 BAJA with the hose gun and got water under the rubber seals on the sensors. Now, the red light stays on and the fan does not come on as much as it used to.Reading here,I found this to be a common problem with the sensors.
It is new and only has about 10 hrs on it. It is ready for it's break-in oil change and check-up.
Should I expect the dealer to change these parts under the warranty?

absolutely!
Also, there is a running change on '04 DS650 with a better protector boot. Ask for it, part # 710000670. You may have to pay for the boot, though. By the way, high pressure washes are bad for any atv. It gets into things, like electronics, that you don't want it in.

I had the same problem. Just wrap it with plastic before you wash it and it will be fine. I bought 2 extra sensors just to be safe. They are only $12 each and if it happens again you can just put one in and keep riding with out having to go to the dealer and lose riding time.

Thanks,
I will get that different boot too.I am bringing it in Friday morning for it's initial break-in oil change and inspection.
$180! I asked why it was so high??? I mean,an oil change in a car is $25 for 5 quarts of oil! They told me "We check and adjust the valves too."
Is this a fair price?

All they do is change oil, adjust valves, lube, & inspect everything. You can bring it in and get the valves adjusted for around $40 to $50 and do the rest yourself.
