Default sportsman 700 lift

i just bought a new sportsman 700 and now it's time to start moding it out. whats the biggest lift and tires anyone out there is running and who made the lift. i've seen an add for gorilla axles but haven't checked into them yet. is anyone running these? the atv will spend most of it's time in the mud. i have already made my snorkel and made an exhaust extention i can bolt on pretty quick but now i want bigger tires and more ground clearance. thanks everyone.

Highlifter makes a 2" lift kit for $110. I heard that they are a pretty easy install too. If you go with 28" tires, you will probably need wheel spacers (depending on how wide you go) Wheels spacer will also help the stability of the machine with the extra height. Outlaws, Outlaw Radials, Vampires, Bi/Tri claws, and Mudzillas seem to be the good "pure mud" tires. The Gorilla axels do have a lifetime warrenty as well. They are some super strong axels. But, the Polaris drive train components are considerably stronger than that of the other manufactures. You dont really hear a lot of Polaris machines breaking axels like that on the Artic Cats. (no disrespect to AC owners). Check out Birt's dirt works too. They have some insane built mud machines on their site, as well as a lot of the good gear to go along with it.

i don't know much about lift kits. however, i have read in this Forum that some who have lifted their ATV's will break things more easily torquing in the deep mud.

Highlifter.com is a valuable resourse.

they set me up with Outlaws, Radial Outlaws, and Bi/Tri Claws tires over the years and they have NEVER steered me wrong. i used 2" ALLOY wheel spacers, progressive front springs, and went up ONE tire size over stock and never had a reliability concern. i used them on SP500 and 700 models.

i'm weary about a lift kit. i think you'll just skrew-up the reliability and possibly leave you high and dry (or wet!LOL) out in the mud!

just my 2 cents.
