Question about Reeds on my Banshee????
#3
The boysen reeds only give you better rpm responce. But I have lost power on top end with them, because you now have four reeds that have to close instead of two. The delta v-force have four reeds but that is a different set-up that works very well.
If I were you I would run the reed stops on them.

what is recommended, and what is the difference if the stops are on or off? what do the stops do?
will I use more fuel with new reeds? and what about the reed spacers is that recommended when putting aftermarket reeds? what do the spacers do?
thanks for the help,

No fuel consumption will not increase with just a simple reed change. The factory stops just keeps the reeds from opening much farther than is needed. If you exceed the limit of the reeds the only thing that will happen will be the distruction of the reeds. In english terms use the factory stops and the reeds will last longer.
I have used reed spacers, gained nothing. I also have used boost bottles and gained no performance.
No me the best reed cage is the factory one ported and installed carbon fiber reeds. The carbon fiber reeds will run you about $80....
