Default 2001 Warrior Problems bogging backfiring

I just bought a 2001 Yamaha Warrior that is having running problems. It starts right up and idles perfectly. But once you hit the gas, even at a 1/4 throttle it bogs down and start backfiring. If you try to give it more gas it will just die out. I removed the gas and replaced the spark plug no difference. I checked the carb and everything seemed clean and within specs. Please someone tell me this isn't something bad.

I don't know how long its been sitting. And I may have jumped the gun. But i figured it was just bad gas, bad sparkplug or carb. needed cleaning.

Any ideas?

Unbeleivable. I just did a search and found out about the parking brake rev limiter problem. That was the IT! Took the carb off twice for nothing. Yehaa. Thanks guys. I did move the jet needle down one notch, should i put it back to the middle?

If you moved the clip down one notch you made it a little richer, which wont hurt to leave it there if it runs good.
