Default '04 headlight install, pictures

Hey, just put in a new style headlight in my '03 Baja. You can look at my pics page and see some closeups of the install. It was very easy. All the thanks has to go to ds650uk for getting the part #'s on a previous thread. The install goes as follows.

Remove old headlight keeping all hardware and rubber grommets.
Install the two new brackets on the new headlight
connect wiring- I just used short pieces of wire with male spade terminals on both ends and siliconed them into the plugs
Install headlight on quad. It uses the same bolts that the old headlight uses
There is a plastic cover that needs to be installed on the nose plastic
There are two small holes that need to be drilled into the plastic. The location can be seen on the bottom of the plastic. Just hold the trim piece up to the nose plastic and then flip it over and you will see where the holes are supposed to be.
Put the nose plastic on

It really was easy. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Part #'s
Headlight 705000805
Trim cover black 705000806
Trim cover yellow 705000986
Trim cover orange 705000871
Mounting bracket 705000904
Mounting bracket 705000905

Justin

p.s. I won't be back until sunday night, so I won't be able to answer any questions till then.

That looks great. Thanks for sharing. How much did it all cost? I need a new headlight and I might as well go with the 04.

Ordered mine from TVI last week. The whole kit was about $115 + shipping.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm sure it will help with the install!

The new light is supposed to put out more light AND it is lighter!

I have a perfectly brand new one... however adjusting the bottom of the the light is a PAIN IN THE REAR. Does the new headlight remove this headache? If so I will sell my current on e-bay or something and upgrade to a 04 model. I think it's worth the switch over. Lighter and brighter... can't go wrong.

Just got back. The main reason people go with the '04 is the cost. The total cost for the light and brackets and shroud was $66.53 shipped to my door. I hope they send some vasaline with the light for $115!!! The new light is also lighter and brighter. No it is not easier to adjust the bottom of the headlight.

Arrghhhh I thought it would be easy to adjust. I wonder if there is something I can fab up to make it easier overall.

Iowa, where did you get one that cheap shipped to your door? I will order one regardless.
