Yup, 14 for aceeleration 16 for top speed.
If you do go with a 16 you would have to take off your stock case saver and get a aftermarket one.

If you use a 14 you will have plenty of room with the stocker. Most aftermarket casesavers should be fine for the 16. I know my Baldwin Case saver works. Some other aftermarket ones may be smaller. Just don't run without one if your chain happend to brake inside cases are expensive to replace.

I have a DG full exhaust and 16 tooth front sprocket. The stock case saver works just fine with a 16 tooth front. These mods allowed me to keep great acceleration, and allowed for a higher top speed. Top speed is still alot less than my 85 250r 3wheeler and acceleration is much slower from 3rd gear up, as compared to my ATC. My 400ex ranrich from the showroom floor and now it is almost perfect with the exhaust and sprocket I run now. It wheelies easier than it did with the stock pipe and stock sprocket. It is a great quad and I plan on keeping it when I get a 450R at some later time.
I wish that I could get the 450R as a 3 wheeler then I'd have one hell of a machine!
