Scrambler vs Vinson
#1
500 Vinson or 500 Scrambler?
I'm trying to make a decision on one of these but I just can't make up my mind. Please help!
Most of my riding will be on trails but I also need something that can handle small jumps, climb hills, and go through mud and rocky creeks.
I think both of these machines are nice but I need for someone to pursue the other or me one-way so I can buy one already and get to riding already.
I've had arguments on both sides but nothing that tips the scales.
Please help!!!

Sounds like you are the prime canadate for a scrambler 500 4x4. Let me tell you, the scram will climb just about any hill you come across. Its insane!!. Mud is not a problem. The scrma has TRUE 4wd, compared to the limited slip of the vinson. That means ALL 4 wheels pulling you through. You will be suprised what the scram can go through in 2wd even. The swing arm and chain drive give the scram a nice sporty feel. The scram is about 50lbs lighter than the vinson. That will let you push it harder in the turns. The 500 HO motor has great torque and is pretty peppy. The suspension is real nice on the scram too. Over 10" of suspension travel in the real and over 8" in the front. Zuki doesnt list the Vinsons suspension travel. But the scram handles moderate jumps quite well. Your best be is to ride both and see what ya like. But I think you would be happy with the scram

To me it would depend on how important having dry storage compartments , racks, ground clearance and standard instrumentation is to you. If you are more interested in a sport style machine the Scrambler is the way to go, if you want more of a sporty looking utility rig I would put my money on the Vinson. They both have their own +'s & -'s depending on your needs. The Vinson does weigh a little bit more, but if you plan on adding racks and the intrumentation to the Scrambler to make it more equal to the Vinson, you will be right up to about the same weight. The Vinson has quite a bit more ground clearence then the Scrambler and also has low range that the Scrambler doesn't. Really it is up to you to decide what you want to do with the machine and then it will be very easy to make the desicion as to which one to buy. That is just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.
