CDI....worth it or not?
#1
the question....CDI....worthy of the money or not?
my hop ups are KN and full pipe.....
i do hit the limiter on occasion in second and third.... (mostly on slick surfaces or in sand)
but is the power difference noticeable? (the supposed "power curve"?)
just looking for opinions....if cdi isnt worth it, what would be? (for cost of around 200?)

does it just have a tad more power OVERALL thru the whole powerband, or just in one, or a few specific areas?
right now im thinking about getting the big gun, or somthign similar (so it only bumps up the rpm limit, and dosnt get ride of the limiter entirely)

What is a new BG going for?
yes, it does make a differance. The stock CDI retards it at 6700 then cuts at 7900 I think its the top.
I know the RW, PAMI, Graydon & Alba are the same unit, they advance the timeing I belive 5 degrees and do not retard it on top. Meaning the engin produces power up until about 8000 rpms. After that your spinning.
I have not had any problems with reving.. Just shift like your used to....
But a CDI is a needed Item.
