Default getting a new ride

I sold my 425 Magnum today and the guy is picking it up Sunday afternoon.I am getting a 2002 500 Scrambler Saturday.Had to give $3600 for it and drive 150 miles to get it.Hope it lives up to my expectations.I was debating between the 500 and a 2002 400 ScramblerX but the X was at a dealer and he wanted $4200+tax for it.I do love the 400s power but my wife told me to get one that I didnt have to moddify too much and I know if I got the 400 I would sink another $500 or so into it and with the 500 about all I will do to it is a pipe and use my old clutch kit and K&N filter. How about some coments on how you think I will like my choice.

You will love it. $3600 is an awsome deal. You may at time miss your low range, but it will be something that you will get used to. Now you are part of the scrammy family. Happy trails- Later

I dont plan on modding it up too much.My 400 Sportsman is already hot enough I just wanted a better ride and less maintanance than the 2stroke.But I still have the old SP for when I want to smell the oil

If you like your 500 half as much as I like my '99 500 you'll love it. You might hate the oil changes though. Especially the engine drain plug. You will really love the torque down at low rpm's.

...out of curiosity, if you already have one extreme- the Sportsman, why not go the other extreme and buy the Predator?......one for utility and one for sport?

(sorry for the dumb question!LOL)

I dont like to shift gears.Getting lazy in my old age. Plus I didnt have that much cash to put into a brand new ride. But if I was to get a bike like that it would be a DS650 like the way they sit better than the Pred.
