Do I have to do an adjustment on my Rancher's throttle cable?

Thanks!

I adjusted my Rancher, and it is more responsive at the low end.

I adjusted my throttle cable out about 1/4 inch. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

400 miles & still no problems, well except the scratches

How do you adjust the throttle cable?

To adjust the throttle cable, first pull back the black rubber boot located on your right handle bar. Then screw the adjuster know counter clockwise. I had to use pliers to break loose the adjuster. The cable could then be twisted by hand. I unscrewed the adjuster until there was about 1/4 of a inch gap between the handle bars & the adjuster ****. Now, take her for a test drive, & adjust again if neccessary!

You can actually adjust it out further. Keep adjusting until you hear the engine start to rev, and then let some more slack out until it is normal again. Then you will want to turn the handle bars both directions and make sure the engine does not rev up. Remember so all this in neutral!
