Default Quadzilla thumb throttle problem

Just put the thumb throttle on and it's starting revving high when i stick the clutch in and start the quad i'm not even touching the throttle luckily i had the brakes on what could cause this?

The wire seems fine no tightness in the wire.
Could this be a carb problem not been tuned probably?

Should I try turning the carb all the way down?

Note: Sorry this may be the wrong section but can't find the right place for my Quadzilla.

A couple things. First, Quadzilla around here refers to the Suzuki LT 500 from the late 80's early 90's. At least to me, haha. Now on to your machine. Did it run fine before the new throttle? Did you route the cable the same way? Make sure it doesn't take any sharp corners or rub on the chassis. Also, It may help to remove the carb and check the slide for function. On some models they can be put in more than one way, but only one way will work properly.
