25" tires on scrambler
#1
I need to know exactly what size tires and wheels to go with on my 500 scrambler 4x4. Do I use 25x8x12 on the front and 25x10x12 on the rear? Or do I use 25x8x12 on the front and 25x11x10 on the back? Please help!!!

Welcome to the forums!!! With 4wd you must always stay 1 size bigger in the front..Otherwise the polaris 4wd system will not work correctly. Stock they are 23x7x10 front.. 22x11x10 rear.. if you go up a size on the rear it must be 1 size bigger in the front...
Hope this helps...

The last number of that series (23x7x10) stands for the rim diameter. The scram has a 10" rim. So a 25x8x12, 25x10x12, and a 25x8x12 wont work cuz they are for 12" rims. You can safely go up to a 25" tall tire. But, like Trailrier said, you must keep the fronts 1: taller than the rears. You can also run an 8" wide tire for the front. Stocks are 7", but soem tires are only available in 8" wide

I was going to buy a package deal tires and wheels. I already new that the factory rim size was 10". The 500 sportsman comes with 10" rims in the back and 12" rims in the front. I need to know if that is the set up that I need or if I should go with 12" front and back. If I put a 8" wide tire on a 5" rim then the tire will be taller I already put one on it when I busted one of mine only because I had it laying aroud. I had to turn aroud and just buy a 7" so both fronts would match. Thank you for replying to my ? I really need all the input that I can get.

Unless you plan on getting 12" rims then you need the tires for the 10"rims. The scram is 10" on all 4. You can go with the 8" wide up front. I know of a number of people on the forum that have Mudlites and they are only available in 8" wide for the front
