PLEASE HELP ME I AM GETTING QUITE DISGUTED WITH MY 650 PRAIRE I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE OTHER DAY AND GOT A NEW BELT ON IT AND A SHIM PUT IN IT. BEFORE I GOT THAT DONE TO IT IT WOULD GET 92 KM IF YOU HELD RIGHT ONTO IT NOW AFTER THE NEW BELT AND STUFF I CAN ONLY GET 85 KMS OUT OF IT IF YOU HANG RIGHT ONTO IT AND NOW I EVEN HAVE MY FARIN OFF OF IT. I ONLY WEIGH 170 LBS. AND I ALSO NOTICED WHEN I WAS AT THE DEALER THAT MY OUTER CASING OF MY PRIMARY CLUTCH WOULD MOVE UP AND DOWN SLIGHTLY I SHOWED IT TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER SAID THAT IT WAS NORMAL I DO NOT THINK IT IS.. ALSO IF YOU FREE REV THEM BIKES IN NEUTRAL SHOULD THEY REV QUICKLY? MINE DOES NOT ALSO MY BIKE DOES NOT JUMP OUT OF THE HOLE IT IS RATHER SLOW COMING OUT OF THE HOLE. COMPARED TO A BUDDYS 650 P HE WEIGHS ABOUT 250 LBS HE CAN PULL A WHEELIE AT ABOUT 20KMS BY JUST GIVING IT A SHOT AND TOPS AT ABOUT AT 105 KMS PLUS HE HAS 26 INCH 589 TITANS I WOULD JUST LOVE TO KNOW MY PROBLEM SO I CAN FIX IT ANY FEED BACK WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED .. yes he did put a new shim in it was 0.08mm I watched him do it all I don't trust those places they would rip you off in a heart beat and I was telling him that the outter part of my primary clutch the part that has the 8 10mm bolts in it would move up and down some. Way more than I thought it should but he said that's normal?? Then he started it up with the cover off of it and reved the guts out of it in neutral to watch the belt in the clutches with out checking it yup he said perfect then he put the cover back on it then he smoked my new 26 inch mud lites in the shop while holding the front brake on I said what did that prove he said if your belt deflection was off it would not do this he never once looked at my primary clutch and he never unplugged the engine brake or any wires which I thought you are to do if you turn the key on. here is a little more info for yas.. skun

Which dealer did you bring your bike at? I'm assuming that it was the dealer in St-Stephen. I got a new belt installed in my bike last weekend, and they only put one shim back in the secondary clutch. Does your belt squeal a bit when you are iddling in gear?

As for the primary clutch cover, I can't remember if mine had any play in it the last time I took the CVT cover off. Something tells me that there is a bit of play, but I could be wrong.

If you don't mind travelling a bit to get your bike serviced, I highly recommend bringing your bike to Woodstock at Dave's Sport to get it serviced. Awesome dealer with great service.

I have the same setup as you and when I first got my quad I could it 99-100km/h. The last time I tried it before getting the new belt installed, I was hitting 92km/h. That was with 3500km on the belt. I haven't been able to try out the top speed with the new belt, but I'm thinking that I should hit 100km/h.
