Default Rappy stock filter?

Hey i dont know how to tell if my filter is dry? i think it is because it doesn't feel wet lol. I am going riding tomorrow and i need last minute filter oil i never bought oil or even or oiled my filter since i bought it. How often should you oil it? and What could i use instead of actual oil????

Thanks -Matt-

Matt, are you serious? First of all, if you have a stock filter, it is most likely foam. PJ1 makes a good foam filter cleaner and spray-on oil to apply after the filter is clean and dry. A clean air filter is the cheapest, best thing you can do for a quad. You should clean your filter after a couple of rides at the most. Follow the instructions on the can of cleaners, using low pressure water and dont wring the filter out. By the way, you have to change the oil and oil filter on the quad too. If I were a bettin man, you are overdue. Break out the owners manual on that quad and follow the maintenance instructions. Oil the chain each day you ride it, Honda makes the cleanest chain oil I have found.

By the way, I checked and your filter is dry from all the caked on dirt.

Come on, you spent too much money on a quad to ride it till it craters.
