well.. here's my advice to u... some anti corosive antifreezes r orange...some r green... don't remember what color is better.... let me ask hold on...ok here's the low down(my mom worked at a car dealer ship)and what i would suggest 1 on the radiator cap it says what kind sholud b in there... I WOULD suggest drainging it FULLY( plug on bottom) and putting in what it recommends on the cap... you may think it's a little pricy and alot of work.. but i know i wouldn't wanna chagne all that stuff...

Different colors is neither good nor bad. It doesn't matter what color it is. I have seen the traditional green, pink, orange and red in different manufacturers. They all do the same thing. Why would you need a new radiator?

I'm a gm technician and haven't seen any adverse affect of orange (dexcool) coolant. As long as the coolant system is serviced at proper intervals you should have no problems.

orange coolant is good for up to 150,000 , green is good up to 100,000 mile. Just make sure not to mix the two, could cause some problems. My $0.02

ok here is what i have to say, if this is the dodge dexcool equivalant, it can be good, and it can be bad, first off dont run it for the listed 150k miles, and dont ever add green to it, it will sludge up like you wont believe. A friend of mine did this to his 99 grand am.
If you want the true info bought the stuff, go here and post a topic asking about dexcool, those guys know there shat just like the guys here. most of them will probably run it till its time to change, then put green stuff back in

I also work at a GM dealership. The only time you will have a problem with the orange coolant is if you mix it with green coolant. Once mixed together, they literally turn into jello. After that happens, you'll be putting in a new heater core and having the radiator pulled apart and rodded out.

I remember, sometime or another, someone posting something about dexcool coroding alot of radiators, and coroding inside the block. I remember a couple of people posting on this subject, and how if anyone had the dexcool in there car to change it. I don't know if it had any truth to it or not, but thats what the post was about.
