Default 1997 Explorer water pump

I need help! My water pump is leaking on my explorer 400 4x4. I've purchased all the parts to fix it but I can't figure out how to get to the pump housing. Any help I can get will be much appreciated.

Take the right side of the motor off and pull the flywheel and there it is.

JMO, you might be better off purchasing a service manual to help along with this project, besides it will have pic's to help along.

Once you get the flywheel off, you will have to remove the balance shaft sump cover - the water pump housing is inside of here, attached to the inside of this cover, there are 3 nuts through the front of the sump cover holding the water pump housing to it. There is also a LEFT HAND threaded nut on the crankshaft that will have to be removed in order for the sump cover to come off

Here is a parts breakdown for a general idea: '97 400 water pump

Thanks to all that answered my question. I'll buy a service manual and get started.
