Default Kuz28's first weekend with the YFZ

well ive been riding a couple hrs per night since i picked it weds. for the winter i ride on the pond and in the trails in back of my house.

everytime i pulled onto the ice...i would get mobbed by sleds wanting to race. whatever!? they kept blowing me away. i'm sure they all felt great. well, saturday i was ready. i mounted the 18" ice tires on beadlock rims and headed out.

across the pond is a half mile...we lined them up and... bam! i smoked them all til the qtr mile...and then they'd pass me like i was standing still. they were like WTF! that thing rips. well they clocked me a couple of times @ 72mph.

72 mph! thats with 18" tires and completely stock! stock gearing and exhaust baffle still in.

Raptor vs YFZ? it seems to me the YFZ rockets you to its top speed alot quicker than the Raptor. the ergo's are perfect for me...including the handle bars. and that normaly the first thing to go. i like CR low bend... but the stock YFZ bend seems fine for me.

and finally, last but not least...a quad that you can find neutral. it was'nt that much to ask for after all. i'll probably get another weekend in of riding this thing stock before i start modding it. so any stock comparisons or questions...you better ask now! cause the parts are on the way.

by the way, i will be selling both the warrior and Raptor. the wife needs a YFZ as well

Great kills I would love to get one as well but I will never get what I need out of my raptor if I sell it.

Dude, i wrestled with that problem for several months. and what your really saying is. I will never own one...because i spent to much on the Raptor?

well, thats unacceptable. so i went out and bought the YFZ today and i will sell the Raptor tommorow. i will wait (i'm in no rush, because i own what i want) and sell the Raptor for the best price...and part it if necessary. Am i taking a loss? yup. but the feeling the YFZ gives me out weighs the $1000 i may lose on the raptor. it's all relevant.

You can always do what I did and have your raptor blow up and then part it out and buy a new quad!! I made way more on the part out then I could have gotten out of it together! I just have to figure out which quad I want and I am good to go.
