Default Stock rev limiter and lowering kit questions

I have an 04 DS and would like to know if there is a lowering kit available to bring down the center of gravity. And if there is are they any good?
My DS is past the break in point............ when riding recently I hit the rev limiter a few times - I know this is what it's for, but does it damage it when you do hit it, or does it just keep the revs below a certain point without hurting anything?

Default Stock rev limiter and lowering kit questions

It's not that I ride that hard but I am looking for better handeling in the corners. I can always waster other quads in the straights but in the corners they seem to handle better. It seems like I have to try a lot harder to get through the corners. I was thinking it was a combination of the stock shock set up (too soft up front) and the high center of gravity. Any suggestions?

cain73 get a set of shocks first it will lower your lap times and help in the corners and whops. Too keep from hitting the rev limiter go up to a 17 tooth front sprocket. This will let you stay in any given gear longer and cut down on shifts
